October with Austin

Austin came over today to visit with Grandma while Daddy took Mama to the doctors, she hurt her toe and had to return to the doctor to have it check out. Poor Mama..
We had a nice visit but NO hugs, he told me he was saving them until he left, he kept asking me if I felt better every few minutes. I told him no hugs makes me so sad! When his Dad came to pick him up he gave me a hug and wiped off my little kiss, then asked if that made me feel better. He was not in a mood to let me take his pictures. I tried to get one with that darling dimple but no luck today. So cute and such a good little boy, he even picked up all his toys and didn't even have to be told. Good Little Boy wish he wouldn't grow so fast!
Can't forget Teddie... His true love... He really needs a bath! Ya right! Just try and get him away long enough for that~

Rain Rain and Love'n it~

Sharon made this quilt and I got to quilt it for her, I think this was one of five or six I quilted, it was just so much fun, all kinds of glitzy threads and lots of bead work on some. So much fun!

Spiral Mania

We had such a nice day of rain all day yesterday, I love it when it rains but do not like driving in it. We had 3" and a little more rain this morning, but the sun is out today.
I wanted to share the Spiral Mania I quilted for a friend, I really enjoyed doing this..... Lots of fun and I just let my imagination fly~ Can you tell?

My Red Apple ~ And Green Pear

One of the most popular quotations of the 19th Century was "An Apple a day keeps the doctor way" I admired Maren's neat Red Apple Pincushion and just had to have my own... I've got so many ideas in my head for pincushions I just had to make this one first. So let me introduce you to my Little Red Apple... Looks good enough to take a bite... stuffed with crashed nut shells and cotton stuffing's. The leaf is really nice too, it will hold your needles for you.

I love fruit salads how about you? Apples, Pears and lots of fresh fruits. Hummm~
Summer's over and we have to wait until next summer for all those great fresh local fruits. So mean time how about a fruity pincushion?

Paper Doll Quilt

I'm moving right along ~ I completed Joellen's Paper Doll quilt for Milie's Christmas present...
This was fun to do, all these darling dolls and Joellen's got the clothes that go with the dolls. Her little grand daughter Milie (3 years old) fell in love with the fabric when she saw it, so Grandma couldn't resist making this quilt for her. Milie has three sister's, they are such pretty little girls.

I've got to quilt Joan's pretty quilt next, I love her quilt and especially the borders, so this one should be fun to do too. After her quilt is done, I've got five table clothes and another Flight of Fancy to do... So I guess it's time to get to my sewing room with my three little furry friends. I had to make each of them a bed so they would leave me alone and not want to sit on the quilts. They love sitting in the window in front of my machine. We have a very friendly humming bird that darts back and forth in front of the window. I've got a humming bird feeder by the window, the beginning of this summer this little guy was really shy, he's learned fast that the cats can't get to him, so now he is teasing them and has no problem sitting on the feeder eating or darting back and forth in front of the window when one of the girls are watching. Gidget's got her bed in the corner and Sneezie has a basket. Paw's usually sits in the window. Kids flew the coop so cats took their places.

Eric, Austin and Gidget

Eric and Austin, we caught Austin in a picture taken mood, he is usually shy from wanting to have his pictures taken. Note Gidget Kitty in the coal bucket beside him. She loves Austin <3 <3

small~ Mini ~ Itsy bitsy ~ mini

This is how my day has been ~ Small ... Not large; little: not large as compared with other things of the same kind. A cent is a small amount of money, a quarter is not quite a dollar ... very mini ...
Mini Something small of it's kind .... Itsy Bitsy~ My sister had a dog she called Itsy ...'cause it was really small. Mini is anything of the same, reduced or miniature size! I think I'm just about cross-eyed and I hope JoEllen likes her quilts they are definition all of the above. Here is the proof:

Friday Octorber 9th

Checking my facebook this morning, I came across this photo Brandy had posted and just had to show it off.... This is my nephew Nick, his wife Brandy and their pal Jack. He is such a neat guy... A little on the very Large size! Not much of a hunting dog as when he sees a gun he goes right under Nick's truck, refuses to come out! But he is really a nice dog. Brandy says they can't have anything on their coffee table ~ His tail removes everything fast~

Buffalo in Montana

Lovely Montana sunset, this is one of Lisa's horses...

Buffalo next to Lisa's property

These are photos my niece took by her ranch in Montana~ Lisa takes some great pictures of the animals that come through her property. These buffalo's are her neighbors and just happened to be close to her property this day. She had taken her daughter to school and when she returned she stopped and got these shots. Nice job Lisa*

Memories....

Here is my youngest grandson Austin...
His loves ~ besides his mama and dad are his Teddy and Sippy Cup! He started asking me on Wednesday what time we were going to church? Daddy has been sick and he was determined he was going to church, every day he would ask me what time it was before we went to church? These are memories that will last a life time. He is three years old and growing much to fast for his grandmother. More then likely this is my last grand baby and it's hard to see how fast they grow up! We pulled weeds together in my yard and he is ready to come back and help me real soon. That's what he told me this morning.

Another one of Lisa's quilts....

My friend Lisa's quilt... it's called Muddy Shoes
